The two maps below show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and in 2010
The maps illustrate the changes that were made to a city hospital’s transport infrastructure from 2007 to 2010.
It is clear from the map that there were three modifications to the hospital’s vehicle access. These involved the development of parking lot and intersection and bus facilities upgrades.
In 2007, staff and visitors used to share the mutual car park. It was located to the East of the Hospital road and people could access this car park via the Ring road. However, in 2010, the original car park served for staff only, and there was a construction of a new public car park to the East of City Hospital.
Looking at the other features, two three-way junctions in the South area of City Hospital in 2007 were knocked down to make way for two roundabouts in 2010. In addition, the Bus station was constructed opposite the staff car park, replacing three Bus stops on either side of Hospital road.
