“A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary/unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary/unpaid work at the museum.”
Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the voluntary/unpaid work.
In your letter
• explain why you want to do voluntary/unpaid work at the museum
• describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful
• give details of when you would be available for work
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to apply for part-time voluntary work in Indra Gandhi Museum to provide the unpaid service to the community, particularly on week ends. Being a social animal, I have been doing social service since my childhood and I want to continue this captivating task to give me peace of mind as well as to keep me focus on my study. Because I am doing
education in History and, museums, historical monuments are the best way to teach me depth knowledge of historical eras.
Furthermore, being a student I have cognizant knowledge of history, therefore I can contribute to guide the visitors and teach them about the history during showing them in museum, addition to this I have great oratorical skills which can be beneficial to provide the information to visitors who will be visited to museum.
Moreover, recently I have completed my final exams, thus I can join this part time voluntary work from next Monday. Because I am totally free to provide the service to museum for betterment of society as well as to enhance my skills and knowledge toward history.
I hope you will consider my request to fulfill my dream, I would be waiting for your response regarding the same.
Sincerely,
Kuldip Kumar
