You have just received a credit card statement from your bank. The statement lists a number of expensive purchases that you are sure you did not make.
Write a letter to the bank manager. In the letter:
• Introduce yourself.
• Explain that you did not buy the items listed.
• Say what you would like the bank to do to fix the problem.
You do not need to write any addresses. Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
You should write at least 150 words.
Dear Sir,
I am writing this to inform you about the incorrect credit statment which I received for the last month. The statment mentions numerous expensive purchases which are certainly not done by me.
My name is Mrinal Surve and I am a loyal customer of your renowned bank since 15 years. I received my credit card 5 years back and since, I have been using this card for various transactions especially for booking flights and accomodations for business trips.
However, while checking my last month's statment I noticed that certain hefty transactions listed were not done by me. I was on a business tour in Ireland for a week when these purchases were made and I am certain that I did not buy any of the products as I was out of town. The purchases were made in my hometown and I am certain that the credit card was with me because the statment lists the international transaction done by me.
I would kindly request you to check the statment again for error and clear them. Also, I can provide you proof of my transcations and tour if needed for your reference.
Thank you for consideration
Yours faithfully
Mrinal
