You have a spare room in your flat or an apartment and you want to rent it to a student. Write a letter to the director of the accommodation office at the local college. In your letter;
Explain where your apartment is
Describe the room
What kind of person would you like to rent it

Dear Director,
I am a second year student of accounting in Bowen College. I rented an apartment in one of the university's halls of residence. I am writing to let you know that I have a spare room in my apartment I would like to rent to a student. The apartment is at Glenwood Avenue, Newark. The apartment number is 202. It is on the second floor of the building.

The room is quite spacious. It is 950 metres square in size. There is a private toilet in the room. The shower runs perfectly fine. The room has two closets. The first closet is used to store casual clothing and the second closet is used to hang winter coats or jackets. There is a central heater and an air conditioner in the room.

This room is available to a student. I would prefer a second year student or a year ahead. I am a gentle person so I prefer someone a cool personality. I also want a serious student probably we can study together.

I look forward to hear from you.

Yours faithfully,
Michelle.
