Dear John,
I am writing you to notify that the vehicle I hired from your company’s branch at Abu Dhabi on fifteenth of December met with a minor accident.
Although the accident is minor, I thought it was necessary for me to bring to your notice at the earliest about the happenings and the measures taken from my side to not complicate any legal and insurance issues later on for both the parties.
The accident happened at the parking lot, while I was just exiting the parking area of the mall, even though the indicator was on and signalling the right turn, the passerby did not notice and cut me through, and there were many other pedestrians as well, so I had to apply a sudden break and since there was very little gap between the cars, the driver behind me banged on my car leaving a small dent in the hind.
As the damage was minimal and the place was crowded, we did not want to hinder any traffic movement so we drove out. I have informed the police as well, who have asked us to report to them tomorrow morning.
Do advice if there is any other protocol to be followed from my side as per your company’s policy.
