Hope you are doing good. I am really sorry to say that, I won't be able to make it to the movies we planned for this weekend. You know the nature of my work right? It was due to a last-minute critical requirement that came from the client-side. The whole team have decided to work during the weekend, so I would also need to be there. I was planning to have a good time with you, but this is not the correct moment I guess.
Even though I won't be able to accompany you, I have found an apt person to go with you. I had a call with your fiance and turns out she is free this weekend. So I have asked her to join you, I remember you mentioned to me once that she was mad at you for not taking her to the movies. I haven't mentioned that it's due to my unavailability, have just said that I have booked movie tickets for both of you. So be in sync with me and mention that you were also surprised.
