The maps below show the village of stockeford in 1930 and 2010.

The maps illustrate the changes that have taken place in the village of Stokeford between 1930 and 2010.

Overall, the housing areas had been expanded and restructured along with a road to admit more residents, while the lands for agricultural purposes vanished.

In 1930, Stokeford consists of two farmlands in the southwest and the northeast; a post office, a primary school and shops in adjacent to the farmlands, as well as gardens together with a large house in the southeast. These facilities were connected to the main road which separates Stokeford into two sides.

By 2010, regarding the accommodation systems, agricultural fields, gardens and stores had been demolished to make way for new blocks of flats on the eastern and southern banks of the stream. In terms of the transport network, more streets were built, branching off the major road to provide access to additional housing. Those were also lengthened along the leading road and parallel to the Stock River. Relating to service section, the huge house within the grounds had been broadened to become a retirement home. In close proximity to the nursing home, the primary school’s size had increased twice as much as the previous one. Moreover, the post office opposite the elementary school had remained intact .
