Essay topics:

In Britain, when someone gets old they often go to live in a home with
other old people where there are nurses to look after them. Sometimes
the government has to pay for this care.

Who do you think should pay for this care, the government or the family?

In Britain, It is often argued that grey-haired people in their retired age going to old-aged homes for their remaining life where nurses are there who often take care of them instead of their near and dear ones. I believe that it is a kind of negative approach from their younger generations to them, and young ones are the one who have to pay for this care.

Indeed parents are always investing their whole life and all earned revenues in their children's upbringing and paid a higher amount of fees in their academics. Therefore, it is a prime responsibility of their adults to keep in mind that they have to serves them at a late age. For example, it was published in one of the cosmopolitan articles that the numbers of old aged homes are increasing since the last decade in London because their own shelter was already occupied by their adult children.

The other reason is at retired age-old persons not able to perform their own daily chores perfectly as compared to their young age, Hence, their upcoming children have to look after them and provide assistance to them where they can find obstacles to make it easier. For instance, if the children are living abroad and not able to live with them, they have to hire a nurse who can look after them in their absence rather than thinking of taking help from authorities.

In conclusion, although children extremely get busy in their daily routine, I am on the firm belief that they are responsible for their parents and have to care for them in the same way as they are nurturing their small kids.

You live in a room in college which you share with another student.
However, there are many problems with this arrangement and you find it
very difficult to work.

Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In your letter
• describe the situation
• explain your problems and why it is difficult to work
• say what kind of accommodation you would prefer
You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to express my dissatisfaction with the room in which I am living at present time. I am facing many hurdles for the last one week from my roommate. So, I would like you to allocate me another room where I can avoid such noise issues.

All things were gone smoothly up to last week. After that, he had suddenly started to play music at loud volume at night and also sometimes he invited his friends for late-night parties in our room without taking my prior permission.

As you are aware the final university examination is going to begin next week, and I have lots of things to prepare before it begins. With this sound disturbance, it would be a herculean task for me to concentrate.

I would be grateful if you allow me any kind of single room or a sharing room with a room-mate of my class who is more concerned about the study.

I am waiting for your positive response.

Yours faithfully,

Saumil
