First, from the reading passage writer state that the privatized spaceflight industry is making spaceflight cheaper, the technological costs down very fast because it will create competition. The lowering cost is directly beneficial for space tourist and scientists. Then they will able to use private flight for their research purposes. However in the lecture professor state that the elaborations of traffic control from prevent collision is more costly and cost of testing and retesting of flight for safety purpose of space tourist is goes more high which is the reason of not lowering the price of ticket.
Additionally, the privatization in space industry, the reading says that more and more industry will be developed and the result of that is, they have required more space working scientist for discoveries made more fast that past. But in lecture professor state that the company wants to pay high scale salary for their work. The high scale salary is distracting them from their aim or target.
Finally, in passage writer state that public tax burden of space travel will be significantly eased when the government is no longer the only sponsor. The expenses of the industry will be paid by its customers. However, in fact, the private spaceflight companies cannot raise such enormous fund without the huge public tax subsidy. Tax duty, then, will certainly become more painful to the public, according to the professor.
In conclusion, there are many controversies as to the privatization of the space travel. Its benefits or disadvantages are still in arguments. While the reading proves its advantages, the lecturer asserts that it does more harm than good to both science and the public
