Comparison of author's and lecturer's view on Stein's writing.
The lecture states that the students might have read the essay and understood that the author of the essay did not like Gertrude Stein. The author states that Stein did not communicate her thoughts and emotions well in her writing as she did not use punctuation well. The lecture disagrees with this thought and mentions that the author has not read her Poetry which leads the writers to use the punctuation well.
The lecturer states that Stein focussed on the sounds of the words to make it more interesting and dramatic. The lecturer says that reliability on sounds of words is not wrong and it actually helps readers to see better. This is in disagreement with the essay which mentions that she did not focus on the meanings of the words at all and did not show any clear emotion or meaning.
