It is important to know about events happening around the world, even if it is unlikely that they will affect your daily life.
Generally speaking, almost all of people around world are interested in news. They try to follow first hand news via media, namely TV, internet, radio, to name but a few. Some people put an extra emphasize in following new in all types, on the other hand, others believe that it does not have enormous importance to know about events around the world. I personally subscribe to the latter one based on the grounds that will be elucidated in the following paragraphs.
First and foremost, without shadow of doubt, as anarchy and rebellious actions increased in the universe, most of our news consist of catastrophic events like kidnapping, war alerts, controversy among nations, and so on; that is, news brings extra stress and anxiety in our daily life. For instance, the last time that I checked the news, I read the head line about new crippling sanctions which U.S imposed on our country, Iran. In response to this attempt of U.S, Iran assert firmly that they will act against U.S and will continue their nuclear activities. It is beyond dispute that, the world experience a new disturbance which may lead to a new war. As it is obvious, not only it added to my stress and solicitude, but also worried me and made me to think of leaving my own hometown.
Discussing issue from above mentioned aspect, I want to cling to the point from another perspective, chasing all the events around the world is time consuming and physically harmful. Thanks to the technology, news can be easily followed on cell-phones via internet, however, it requires extra time; you have to allocate most of your time to follow all the events around the world. Those dealing with their job or daily life will not have adequate time and circumstance to read the news. Besides, if it is not in your realm of enthusiasm and interest, it may have a bad effect on you and makes you bored and even may cause eye-sight problems. For instance, my aunts spend most of her time on catching up news. Not only does she get some psychological problems like depression, but also she got some eye problems because of watching too much TV.
To put it in a nutshell, I profoundly believe that following events happening in all around the world is stressful and time consuming. Besides, it may cause some disease like obesity and eye-sight problems. In nowadays monotonous and exhausting life people should do affairs that makes them happy and relax.
