You work at home and have a problem with a piece of equipment that you use for your job.
Write a letter to the shop or company which supplied the equipment.
In your letter
describe the problem with the equipment
explain how this problem is affecting your work
say what you want the shop or company to do
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the services provided by your company. I have recently bought a scanner from one of your shops located in Surrey, BC. Although I was insured that the machine would work properly, after using it for two or three times I faced the followed issues that rendered the device completely inoperable.
Firstly, it was obvious that the aforementioned device had some difficulties connecting to the computer. Because there were several disconnections which consumed a few hours to be fixed by one of your technicians.
Secondly, I found out that the light bar stops moving, thus, scanning the whole document. Consequently, I had to visit our local shop to scan my documents which is an inconvenience.
Considering the mentioned problems and the fact that I work at home, the scanner that I bought from you caused a lot of damages to my work and reputation for I was late to deliver a few projects on time.
I would appreciate it if you could replace the scanner with a new one or reimburse the paid sum if there is no similar model available for replacement. Please feel free to contact me anytime if you need further information regarding this matter. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely,
John Doe
