The lecture and the passage is both about efficiency of pet involved therapy for the people who survived from heart procedures. According to the passage, owning a pet not only improve one`s mood, however, it adjusts daily routine in a positive way little by little. As the university mentioned in the lecture conducted the survey, lots of distinct teams of scientists are repeating it in order to implement such kind of therapy in further.
In the passage, writer states importance of friendship between animals and humans which is unconditional and beneficial. Moreover, person who has a pet prevent from anxiety more easily than the one who doesn`t own. To add, the speaker supported this concept by giving a few example. Owing to the assessment, people who started petting a dog lose 20% more weight than the others who don`t have a pet. Also, it helps a lot to decrease depression and to increase happiness.
As a writer mentions, there is a significant result of increased health condition for the people who participated in the research by having a dog. Their blood pressure dropped to as same level as healthy human`s which is caused by beginning of daily exercising, including walk outside with a dog. Furthermore, speaker says, many people may be worrying what happened to the dogs after the research, even though, all of the family encouraged in the survey expressed their interest to retain the dogs as member of their family.
In further, animal assisted therapy tend to be increased in use to support the health of people who passed a clinic procedure.
