Writing task 1 (a letter)
You are a club secretary. An expert from a different country recently gave a talk at the club. Write a letter to thank him/her and say how club members enjoyed it. Include the following in your letter:
– When and where did the talk take place?
– Explain why the members enjoyed it.
– Suggest another lecture to be done in the future.
Dear Mathew,
Hope you are doing well. I am writing this letter to thank you for taking out time from your busy schedule and giving a guest lecture on leading a healthy life at our club "The Gymkhana" last week. it was one of the most interesting sessions from an expert in the industry.
To elucidate all the club members thoroughly enjoyed the session as it was the most knowledgeable and interactive sessions for improving health by doing regular exercise. We don't get many experts from the industry in this club who can share practical examples and tips on how a balanced diet and sports activity can lead to healthy living. For young members of our club, it was engaging as you laid several facts which helped to understand the ill effects of smoking and drinking.
Since this was a captivating session I would like to invite you for another session to share more knowledge on a similar subject so that it helps adults to mend their habits which can help them to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
I look forward to your response and seeing you soon.
Yours sincerely
