The given graph gives information from a 2008 report about consumption of energy in the USA since 1980 with projection 2030.Overall, petrol and oil are the dominant consumption of energy in USA by quadrillion(35q) in 1980 also in projection they reach around 48q in 2030 and the nuclear,35 solar/wind and hydropower remains steady through the years and in projection.

Consumption of energy from coal and natural gas started 16q for coal and 20q for natural gas in 1980. Only after five years in 1985 the natural gas has decrease by 16q and became equal with the coal till 1990.The gas will reach the highest point in 2012 by 24q and will reach 25q in 2030 whereas the coal will continuously increase with 33q in 2030.

In contrast, the consumption of nuclear, solar/wind and hydropower energy started below 5q (around 4q) in 1980.In 1987 they are reaching a point of equal using of energy .Nuclear started its increasing by 5q in 1990 and as it’s predicted will reach the highest point by around 7q in 2030.The using of solar/wind had a brief decreasing by 3q in 1995 and as projection says will reach its highest point by 5q in 2030.The consumption of hydropower remain below by 5q and it’s expected to be on this level till 2030.
