You and your friend booked a theater tickets in advance. Apology to your friend as you can't make it to the theater with him.
In the letter, you should:
• apologies
• explain what reasons you can’t make it
• give options what can be done with the ticket.
Dear Mat,
Hope you are doing well. Firstly I would like to apologize as I won't be able to make it to the theatre tomorrow due to some official commitments. let me explain in detail.
To elucidate unfortunately a product launch has come up, therefore, I need to immediately travel to Japan for a few days. Although I tried my best to avoid this business travel however I am the only resource who has an in-depth knowledge of the product. Hence the company management needs me to be present at the seminar and address all the technical questions related to the product from the customers.
I can understand how disappointed you would feel after hearing this news as we had made advance bookings and had been planning for the show for a long time however I have a suggestion to offer. Before penning down this letter I spoke to the customer care executive of the booking centre and they advised that the change of dates on the tickets would be possible free of cost, therefore, I would suggest getting the dates changed to next week.
let me know what you think.
best wishes
Saud
