Summarize the points made in the lecture you just heard, explaining how they cast doubt on points made in the reading

The lecture explained that the altruistic behavior of meerkats gives them some advantages in the group. There the following three advantages.

First of all, the lecturer believes that the eating habit of meerkats benefit the sentinel’s group as it eats before guarding the rest of the group. This idea disagrees with the article that states that sentinel stays without food while the rest of the group eat food.

Secondly, the lecture states that the sentinel is the first animal to see the predator which gives it a great chance to survivor because it can run away immediately after it gives the alarm. In contrast, it is stated in the reading passage that the group is able to keep safe and survive while the sentinel is at more risk since it has to escape alone.

Finally, the lecture mentions humans donors of organs that gain society’s appreciation and approval. In addition, they feel valuable, improving their self worth and proud. The reading passage, however, states that such an act provides little reward and donors gain nothing for themselves.
