Birth rate
The graph presents comparison of birth rates of the two most largest population countries, China and
USA, which occurred between 1920 and 2000. Birth rates indicates the number of births per thousand
of population a year.
Mainly, USA had higher birth rates than china during that period given, except in 1930 - 1935 and
1945 - 1957. in the beginning of period, USA had birth rates of approximately 12 while china had 10 -
slightly lower than USA. In the next years, either USA or China, had fluctuation of birth rates until
1950, in which both of them had the highest birth rates of 15 and 20 for USA and China, respectively.
Additionally, years after 1950 birth rates of USA and China were decreasing steadily until the end of
2000, except in 1955 when China had dramatically drop of birth rates from 20 to 8 in only five years.
Meanwhile birth rates of USA remained to dip continuously through years. Finally this figure shows
that USA had birth rate of roughly 7 whilst china had the lowest point of birth rates in range of 2 - 3 in
2000.
