The line chart indicates the changes in the rate of birth of China and USA from 1920 to 2000.
Overall, the number of children borned in the two countries showed the same pattern of general decrease. And those of the USA was at a higher level than USA in the end of this period.
Beginning at approximately more than 10 in 1920, the birth rates the USA varied in the vicinity between 10 and 13 and significantly fell to under 5 in 1945. Throughout the remainding period, it reached its peak of 15 in 1950 and countinued falling steadily in the half following decade, ended at about 7 in the period of 80 years.
In 1935, he rate of birth the USA raised to 15 but it then plunged to a low at exactly 5 in two year, 1940 and 1945. However, there was a sharply growth in this figure, reaching the highest point of this graph, at 5 in 1950. The number was followed by a slight decrease period.
