Dear Sneha,
I received your letter yesterday and my heartiest congratulations to you on passing your graduation with distinction. I thought a lot about you wanting my advice on whether you should join a job or go to college and I feel you should try to get a job.
Let me first tell you why I feel you wouldn't enjoy going to college. I have observed that the curriculum of post graduation is better understood if we have some relevant experience in the same field. Also, your most peers in the college would already be having a experience of minimum three years and it would be very difficult for you to adjust to the environment and cope up with the pressure of tough subjects without any experience.
Furthermore, I feel if you get a job before going to college you would also be help to secure yourself financially. The job experience will not only help you financially but also provide you hands on experience on the specialized subjects of your post graduation curriculum. I have noticed that like most people, you understand the subject better when you have some experiment or experience with it. Another advantage of getting a job before going proceeding for higher education is that some colleges give extra credit score to the experience. Therefore, having a job first would definitely help you.
I would suggest you to look for job applications in start up companies for the role relevant to your post graduation subject. Working in start ups would provide you with the right kind of exposure to the domain and also help you gain experience. Please feel free to reach out to me incase you need any further assistance. I am looking forward to know your decision.
Yours faithfully,
Molly
