The line graph given below illustrates energy consumption in America since 1980 with projections until 2030. The data is measured in quadrillion units. Overall, it can be seen that petrol and oil were the highest while hydropower represented the least usage.
First of all, looking to petrol and oil, stood at 35 in 1980, the rate experienced some fluctuations from 1985 to 2005. However, by 2030, the demand for this energy increases rapidly at 50 which was the highest number throughout the period. Followed by natural gas, it began at 20 in 1980. 1985 to 2015 the figure was fluctuating, levelling off the period at 25 in 2030. Initially, coal was the third option, it got more than 15 in 1980, but the needed on it overtook natural gas in 1985, 2000, 2005, 2015 before it reached a peak of 30 in 2030.
Less change was seen on the remaining sources. Nuclear, solar/wind, hydropower had precise units at around 4 in 1980. After years later, nuclear touched 6 in 2030, trailed by solar/wind, it had 5. 1985 to 2030, there was a slight decline in this energy level to only 3 which is representing the smallest fuel request.
