The graph below shows the number of tourists visiting a particular Caribbean island between 2010 and 2017.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The line graph represents the statistics of people travelling to a specific island in Caribbean from 2010 to 2017.
Overall, there were an upward trend in the number of visitors who stayed on cruise ships and in that of those who stayed on island, contributing to steady increase in the total figure of people visiting the island during the given period.
As shown in the graph, starting at 0.2 million people, the number of tourists staying on cruise ships slightly went up to 0.5 million people in 2011 before quickly returning to the benchmark of 0.2 million just one year later. On the contrary, the data of visitors stopping by the island only experienced a moderate rise to 1.2 million people in 2012 after leveling off at 0.8 million people in two consecutive years 2010 and 2011. It is worth noticing that despite the contrasting trends in the statistics of these two groups of tourists, there was a gradual growth from 1 million people to 1.5 million people in the total number of island visitors between 2010 and 2012.
From 2012 onwards, it can be seen that the figure of cruise ship passengers continued to increase and remained at a peak of 1.5 million people every year except for one sudden drop to 1.2 million people in 2016. Meanwhile, the quantity of visitors staying inbound rocketed rapidly since 2012 to surpass the number of cruise ship guests in 2016 and hit the highest point of 2 million people in 2017. Combining two sets of data, after a series of gradual increase, the whole sum of visitors to the island remained stable at 2.7 million people in 2015 and 2016 and then reached the climax of 3.5 million people in 2017.
