Looking at the charts more closely, it is evidence that the percentage of Rock album stands out as the most favorable genre among 5 genres figured in the charts over the period. In the 2 first consecutive years, the rate of people chose Rock album remained at 39 percent, before slightly increased by 1 percent in 2010. The similar trend was seen with R&B in 2008 and 2009, which made their percentage of album sales at 22 percent, but instead of uphill as Rock, they suffered the decline by 2 percent in 2010. Meanwhile, the proportion of Alternative album gained profits on markets dropped considerably from 23 percent in 2008 to 20 percent in the last 2 years of the period. Furthermore, there was an apparent speeding up in the sales of Country music album, particularly by 5 percent from 2008 to 2010, whilst Jazz music genre just remained their percentage of sales during 3-years period.
