The picture below shows how a hot balloon works.
The picture illustrates the components of a hot balloon and its mechanics.
As can be seen from the picture, there are three main parts of the balloon including the envelope, the burner and the basket. Moreover, this balloon functions by the theory of air regulation.
In particular, the upper part of the balloon is the big envelope. It consists of different panels, long strip gores and a parachute valve on the top. Hot air can be emitted under control through this self-sealing flap. Furthermore, there is a skirt under the envelope, connected to the burner by rope. The basket is the final part, which holds two propane cylinders.
Turning to the mechanism of this hot balloon, the burner and cylinders are two parts that are in charge of mixing propane with air. This mixture produces flame and hot air, which is then transmitted to the envelope. The contradiction between hot air that is light, and the heaviness of cool air from the environment will allow the balloon to ascend.
