You are going to another country to study. You would like to do a part-time job while you are studying, so you want to ask a friend who lives there for some help.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:
give details of your study plans
explain why you want to get a part-time job
suggest how your friend could help you find a job
Dear Durgesh,
I hope you are doing great. Let me give an exciting news that I'll be coming to Toronto to pursue my master's from University of Toronto. I am really happy because we will be able to live and have fun together during our post-graduation period.
My first semester will be starting in the coming Spring season. Therefore, I'll be arriving on the 3rd of March around half past noon. Please make sure to pick me up from the Airport to your rental residence. I'll be staying for two years in your rental house and will give the half rent which will be convenient to both of us.
During my the time of master's, I would like to do a part-time job that will manage my living expenses such as house rent, food, groceries, bills and others. Also, many students work with part-time jobs to get some Canadian experience on their resumes.
I'll be sending my resume to you through email. Please review and provide your feedback on my resume. If the format of the resume will be fine, I'll apply for the jobs on the job bank portal of Canada.
I hope to see you soon and will be waiting for your response over my resume.
Regards,
Shwatank
