The bar chart provides information about the proportion of people playing ten different sports in Canada in 1998 and 2005.
In general, the percentage of sport participants in Canada decreased in the period from 1998 to 2005. It was immuatably true that the popularity of golf was the widest.
In 1998, the data of tennis was 16% while the percentage of golf participants was approximate 23%. Ice hookey came in second with 17%. Another popular sports in this period was baseball which had the proportion of people playing was approximate the figure of ice hookey. Whereas, the percentage of people joining in remaining sport activities was almost under 10%.
After 7 years, the figure of sport participants experienced the slight decrease. Golf continued to be the most favourite sport, however, the percentage of golf fans dropped slowly to 21%. The data of ice hookey saw the similar fluctuation which went down approximate 1%. In contrast, baseball underwent the significant decline to the same figure of volleyball with only 7% people playing. While almost sports tended to be less popular, soccer was the only physical activity which people would rather playing in 2005 than 1998. From 9% in 1998, the percentage of soccer players went up slowly to 10% in 2005.
