The diagram illustrates the process in which sugar is produced from sugar canes.
Overall, it is clear that the production of sugar from sugar canes needs a total of seven different stages, commencing with cultivating sugar canes and ending with drying and cooling sugar.
In the first stage, sugar canes are planted and nourished for 12 to 18 months, and then stalks are harvested either by a specialized machine called a reaper or manually by a sickle. From that point, a crusher that has huge rollers presses sugar can juice from the shredded stalks.
The fourth step of the process is that the juice is run through a limestone filter for purifying and then poured into an evaporator during which time it is heated, reduced, and becomes a syrup. The syrup is next separated from sugar crystals using a centrifuge before being dried and cooled in its final form like sugar.
