The table illustrates the proportion of monthly household income five European countries spend on food and drink, housing, clothing, and entertainment.
The table gives information about the amount of household income the top five European countries spend per month on four items, including food and drink, housing, clothing, and entertainment. Overall, it is apparent that all five nations invest the majority of their income in food and drink as well as housing, but less in clothing and entertainment.
According to the table, housing is the largest expenditure item in the UK, Germany, and France, making up over a third, with 37%, 33%, and 31% respectively. In contrast, they splurge around a quarter for food and drink categories. However, it is the opposite for other nations, which spend around a fifth of their income on housing, but approximately one-third on food and drink.
In terms of entertainment, Germany invests the most, standing at 19%, surpassing much greater than the others. Following, Spain and France spend around 15%, while both Turkey and the UK rank at the lowest point about a tenth for each country. Meanwhile, clothing is not a popular product for all five nations with a fluctuation of about 15% among France, Turkey, and the UK. There is an insignificant minority of the two nations.
