Line graph : Consumption of fast food by Australian teenagers.
The figure elucidates the number of fast food consumption by Australian adolescents from 1975 to 2000. At first glance, it is evident that the most noticeable changes occurred for the amount of fish and chips consumption, and it is measured in number of times eaten per year.
To begin with, there was a tremendous upsurge for the total consumption for hamburgers and pizza. 1975 to 2000 witnessed a dramatic growth for the number of hamburgers consumption in which it stood at well beneath 20 in 1975 and sharply finished at just above 100 in 2000. Moreover, following the same pattern as hamburgers, the amount consumption for pizza uplifted enormously between 1975, which was at well under 20, and 1995, which made up at just over 80. Nevertheless, over the following 5 years, it remained stable.
In contrast, in the first 10 years, the number of fish and chip consumptions experienced a gradual wave in which it achieved at well across 80 in 1985, erratically, the amount of these food consumptions plunged, plummeting to just less than 40 by the end of the period shown.
