The two pie charts illustrate the various reasons for individuals to use a car or bicycles for traveling to work.
Overall most of the people who cycle to work, do so to maintain better health and fitness, and to contribute less pollution, while cost-effectiveness is the least concern. Majority of the car goers, on the other hand, feels more comfortable in it, however they are least concerned about distance and speed.
The first pie chart suggests health and fitness as well as environment pollution as the major concern for the cycle users making up a little below two-third of all causes at 60% combined together. the parking is the next reason at 15% followed by fast commuting at 14%. Of all, cost-effectiveness rounds off the list at 12%.
The second pie chart reveals that 40% of people use cars due to better comfort. This is followed by 21% of people who prefer four-wheelers due to long distance. 14% workers use cars to carry things with the same percentage believing cars to be faster than bicycles. Surprisingly only 11% of individuals think that car is safer than cycles.
