You have a full-time job and you are also doing a part-time evening course.
You now find that you cannot continue the course.
Write a letter to your teachers. In your letter
describe the situation
explain why you cannot continue at this time
say what action you would like to take
Dear Mr. Smith,
This letter is to inform you that, due to recent chnage in circumstances, i will not be able to continue to attend part-time evening course from coming Monday.
Recently, there is change in my employment status and i had to leave my previous job and to take a new one. My new job demands night shift every alternate week. Even for weeks where i will be doing day job i wont be able to attend course in evening as it is a new and demanding job, i may need to put extra hours to meet the expectation of the employer.
However, this situation will not be permanent and after detailed discussion with employer, i can assure that after six months i will not be required to do extra hours or shift work Hence, after a break of six months, i will continue the course again from next term.
I request you to accept my application to provide a break of a term to my course and extend the deadline to finish the course.
Your's faithfully,
Shailabh Jha
