Percentages of mobile phone owners using various mobile phone features
The table gives information about the number of people that used different functions of their mobile phone in three years, 2006, 2008, and 2010.
Overall, seven features of phones experienced an increase over the period while the proportion of making calls had a gradual decrease. It was noticeable that searching the internet surged significantly from the table.
As can be seen, making calls was the highest percentage of these features, standing at approximately 100 percent in two years, 2006 and 2008. However, there was a slight fall, about 1% in 2010. In addition, the figures of taking photos, sending & receiving text messages, playing games, and playing music witnessed a stable increase such as taking photos rose from 66% in 2006 to 76% in 2010.
According to the table, it revealed that in 2006 people did not play music and search the internet compared to other functions. Nevertheless, the data of searching the internet climbed quickly, to 73% in 2010. Moreover, recording video rose rapidly about four times in 2010 compared to that in 2008.
