The charts show average level of participation in education and the highest education level of adults from 2000 to 2010 in Singapore.
The participants’ proportion in education of Singapore population is displayed in the below graphs besides mature people that had third-level education or higher over a one decade from 2000 to 2010.
Overall, it is clear that the number of educated men, as shown in the bar chart, had increased throughout the whole period outnumbering that of women, while in the pie chart there was an upward trend of Singapore total population of university graduates who continued to get a master’s degree.
As we can see in the first graph, the percentage of men who received education marked a gradual growth from 2000 reaching its peak in 2010. Educated ladies’ figure, however; plateaued prior to 2004 with a marginal rise between 2004 and 2008, although their proportion had peaked at the end of the period, still didn’t surpass that of men. To be more accurate we can say adult males had been joining school more than women over a ten year timeframe.
In the early 2000s, small minority approximately less than one in ten had finished college then continued to complete their advanced degree .Whereas in ten years period, this percentage boomed to reach roughly over a third of the country population. Additionally, at the start of the period, around a quarter were satisfied to fulfill only elementary school, while by 2010 the figure for these people declined sharply to an insignificant number.
