The table illustrates the volume of rainfall by month of a year among five urban areas, namely Hongkong, Tokyo, Jakarta, Cairo, and London.
From a general perspective, while the average monthly rainfall of Hongkong, Cairo, and Tokyo reached a peak in the middle of the year, that of Jakarta and London got an annual high right from the start.
Regarding the oscillation of monthly rainfall, both Hongkong and Cairo hit a peak in August at 380 mm and 27 mm, correspondingly. It is interesting to note that Hongkong is experiencing the greatest, and Cairo has the smallest when it comes to the amount of rain. However, the following period is different as the average monthly rainfall in Hongkong gradually plunged to 151mm in October before dramatically declining to 35 mm in the last two months. Cairo, on the other hand, suffered from drought as their rainfall went into a nosedive to absolutely 0. As for Tokyo, in January, its average amount of rain is double that of Hongkong. Nevertheless, Tokyo's peak rainfall, which happened at 190 mm in June, is merely haft compared to Hongkong's counterpart.
Concerning Jarkata and London, at the beginning of the research year, Jakarta led the table with 300 mm of rainfall. This rainfall leveled out for one month before diving to 60 mm in August. It shot up again to 210 mm at the end of the year. The quantities of rain in London witnessed the same pattern as it troughed at 45mm in July before approximately restoring to its initial level of 79mm five months later.
