The diagrams below show the stages and equipment used in the cement-making process, and how cement is used to produce concrete for building purposes.
The given pictures illustrate how cement is made and then how cement is used in concrete production for construction purposes.
Overall, the process begins with crushing a mixture of limestone and clay and a chemical transformation, followed by bagging the obtained cement, before it is then combined with other materials to create concrete.
The process of creating cement commences when limestone and clay are put together into a crusher to get powder before being placed in a circular mixer. In the next stage, the mixture is then connected to a rotating heater with heat provided for a chemical transformation and it is then ground to produce cement for bagging.
The process proceeds to concrete manufacturing, the obtained production in the aforementioned process is put into concrete mixer with different materials including water, sand and gravel. Each component is measured before mixing with 15% for cement, 10% for water and the proportion of sand and gravel accounted for 25% and 50% respectively.
