The line graph illustrates how many people who live in Britain donating money to charity by 5 different ages in the years 1990 and 2010.
Overall, it can be seen that the proportion of British people gave money to charity in 1990 was higher than in 2010 except for people who were over 50 years old. Moreover, elder people tended to give money more to charity than younger people.
In 1990, the percentage of people who were 36-50 years old donated for charity was highest, accounted for approximately 42%, while the opposite was true for the 18-25s. 20 năm sau, the rate of British people giving money plummeted to 35% and 7%, respectively. A similar trend was experienced for 26-35s, at 31% in 1990 and 24% in 2010.
In contrast with the age under 50, the proportion of people who aged over 50 giving money to charity saw an upward trend over the period of 20 years. Between 1990 and 2010, a sharp rise was witnessed in the figure for the 51-65 age-group, from 35% to 39%, which was the highest percentage in 2010. This was followed by the figure for over 65 years old, stood at 35% in 2010.
