A glance at the chart provided reveals the upward trend in the figures for women and men passing their driving test over a 20-year period, from 1890 to 2010 in one Asian country.
Overall, both the rate of female and male that succeed in passing their test in driving experienced upward trends over the given period, though the former recorded a faster increase. Another striking feature is that the former generally outnumbered the latter.
When it comes to the number of passing driving test in women, it was 48% in 1980, followed by a slight escalqtion to 51% in 1990. The following 10 years saw a drastic acceleration to 68%. Having exponentially increased, it minimally dropped to 65% in the end of the given period.
A similarity can be observed in that case of men. After starting at 29% in 1980, it considerably expanded to 37% in the next 10 years. 2000 experienced a significant increase to 49%, followed by a stability in 2010.
