The chart shows the percentage of women and men in one Asian country who passed when they took their driving test between 1980 and 2010.
The diagram compares the proportion of female and male residents of an Asian territory who managed to achieve a driving license from 1980 to 2010. Overall, it can be obviously seen that the figures for both genders had an upward trend, additionally, the data for women was higher than that for men throughout the examined years.
Looking at the statistics of female citizens, roughly 48% was recorded in 1980 and there was an increase tendency in the following years. 2000 saw the largest climb in numbers when approximately 68% of contestants passed the test. However, a remarkable decline occurred in 2010 and the data slightly dropped to around 64%.
Regarding the male dwellers, the figures develops in a more steady way, from only around 38% in 1980 to just under 50% in 2010 and the data had leveled off since then. 2000 was also the year that recorded the most significant growth of roughly 13%. Interestingly, percentage of men passing the test wá lower than that of women for around 20% in all four years.
