The pie charts compare the percentage of fuel and power produced from different resources in a particular country between 1985 and 2003.

Overview, it is noticeable that the highest percentage in two years was the energy from gasoline. In contrast, the figure for hydrogen and other renewable energy were the lowest. In addition, there were an upward trend in the percentage of energy from coal, gas, and other renewables between the two years, while the proportion of energy from oil and nuclear tends to decrease.

In terms of the energy from oil and nuclear power, the figures for these energies were the highest percentages, at 52% and 22%, respectively, in 1985. In contrast, in 2003, both these energies decreased significantly, to 39% and 23%, respectively.

As for the energy from natural gas, coal, and hydrogen, with other renewable energy sources, in 1985, the percentage of energy from natural gas and coal were at 13% and 8%, respectively, and in 2003, these energies increased substantially to 23% and 22%, respectively. In contrast, the figure for other renewable energy increased moderately from 1% in 1985 to 4% in 2003. Furthermore, the hydrogen energy source kept the percentage constant at 4% in both years.
