The pie charts given illustrate the proportions of water consumed, by categorizing industrial, agricultural and domestic use, in six region of the world.

Overall, in each countries given, the least use of water is domestic use whereas the greatest percentages of water use is agricultural use in every countries given besides north america and europe, which consume the highest percentage of water use for industrial purposes.

As we look at the percentages in detail, it is worth noticing that the water is commonly used for agricultural purposes in central asia, Africa, south-east asia and south america with 88%, 84%, 81% and 71% respectively while it is mostly consumed for industrial purposes in europe and north america with 48% and 53%. Likewise, the highest percentage of water use for domestic use is seen in south america by 19% whereas the least percentage is 7% in both central asia and south-east asia. On the other hand, it is important to say that the percentage of consuming water for industrial purposes in central asia is only 5%, this percentage is the least among other areas.
