The line graph demonstrates two towns in terms of the proportion of people working in distinct categories, over a forty-year period, between 1960 and 2010.
It is clear from the graph that in 2010, services in town A accounted for the most significant percentage; however, in 1960 and at the similar period in town B, it experiences the lowest percentage.
It is interesting to mention that in Town A, while services saw a considerable growth from 29% to 64%, manufacturing and sales decreased dramatically to 20% to 16%, respectively from 1960 to 2010. As regard Town B, despite falling noticeably, manufacturing accounted for the highest percentage over the same period, while services and sales experienced a slight decline to 25% and 22%, respectively.
If we look at both town in two different period, in 1960, manufacturing invariably accounted for the highest percentage; however, the proportion in Town B is more remarkable in comparison in Town A. In addition, in 2010, while in Town A, services were the most popular category, in Town B, manufacturing accounted for over a half of a total percentage, which meant that it was comprised more workers than others.
