The line chart shows number of oversea students who residence in Australia. Students are from 4 countries such as Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore between year 1982 and 2000.
Starting from 1982 number of students from Malaysia is the highest among 4 countries the number close to 50000 students. Surprisingly, the trend of Malaysia students did not have any significant change in the past 18 years. By the year 2000 number of student increase by 10000 students only.
On the other hand, number of Indonesia students shows the most outstanding increase in the number started nearly Zero in 1982 and in the following year number of Indonesia students shoot up to 28,000 students. Among 4 countries 28000 students was the highest number.
Between 1988 and 1998 the line charge illustrates steady trend for 4 countries. In this decade there the trend was a little bit fluctuate however number of students among 4 countries are gradually increase during this period.
To sum up, in the past 18 years number of students from Singapore and Malaysia have similar upward movement where number of students are slowly increase. In contrast number of Indonesian students and Hong Kong Chinese shows fluctuate trend number for both countries were peak during year 1996 to 1997.
