The given line graph details the visitor's proportion to four different places (Aquarium, castle, zoo, and festival) in Edinburgh of Scotland over a period of 30 years from 1980 to 2010.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that Aquarium, castle and festival touched the dipping point by the end of the period except for the zoo, whose popularity witnessed a sharp rise. However, the castle remained at the top and zoo at the least position of the attractions list.
According to the given illustration, in 1980, about 20% of tourists planned aquarium visit, which was double of the zoo visitors. In the next five years, the former point witnessed a surge of 5% as against only 5% for the latter attraction. Following the similar fluctuating trend, both fell back to starting value in 2000. Thereafter, both depicted a contrasting trend, as the zoo noticed a steady spike of 10% while a drop of 12% plummeted the aquarium's visit to just 8%.
On the other hand, the Festival, which stood with the highest number of visitors(30%) in 1980, experienced a significant decline of 5% by the end of 1995, after which it got leveled off at 27%. On the contrary, just 15% of visitors chose the castle as a visiting place in 1980, which further rose dramatically to its peak value at 45% in 1995. After that, a continuous downward trend slipped the value below 30%.
