The table below gives information about the underground railway systems in six cities
The table shows the statistics about the railway line in London, Paris, Tokyo, Washington DC, Kyoto and Los Angeles.
Overall, as can be seen, the longest railway networks is in London, whereas, Tokyo is the city attracting the largest number of commuters each year.
Obviously, underground railway systems in London which is the oldest one is 394 kilometres of route. The figure for Paris taking the second position has 199 kilometres in length. Meanwhile, the underground railway line in Tokyo and Washington DC which was constructed later in 1927 and 1976 long just 155 and 126 km of route. 2 latest railway systems possessed by Kyoto and Los Angeles have just 11 and 28 kilometres in length respectively.
In terms of passenger, Tokyo is the only city which attracts nearly 2000 people using underground systems annually in corresponding with 1191 commuters in Paris. At the same time, Kyoto and Los Angeles are still the cities having the lowest number of passengers, just around under 50 people each year.
