I am writing this letter to you with reference to the article published in today's newspaper. As I understand, museum is looking for people to do part-time voluntary unpaid work. I would like to apply for the same.
Let me first explain my reason behind applying for the role. I am Madhulika, final year student from arts course of nearby college. I was always fascinated by the past of town and had plans to pursue career in similar field. In addition to the knowledge that I shall gain from the museum of town history, I would also be gaining work experience on various management operations that are being carried in the museum. This experience will come a lot handy in my future jobs.
Coming to my skills and qualities, I am quick learner and have excellent memory. I had done short voluntary work in a museum of city Lucknow for six months. I, often conduct guided tour to the local heritage sites of the town for the school students. In additional to all these, I have done short course on inventory management and fluent in French language. I believe my these skills will help me effectively work in different departments of museum.
Lastly, on my availability to join work could be slight issue. As per the article, you need immediate help at the museum. However, I am in middle of my term exams and can join only from coming Monday, that is, 29th March 2021. I will be waiting for your response on the same.
