You and your family are living in rented accommodation in an English speaking country. You are not satisfied with the condition of some of the furniture.
Write a letter to your landlord. In your letter
introduce yourself
explain what is wrong with the furniture
say what action you would like the landlord to take
Dear Maxi,
I am writing this letter to let you know about condition of some of the furniture of our villa.
I am John your new tenant of Villa 64, downing street and recently shifted last fortnight here from India with my spouse and two kids.
Your Villa is very nice specially i find decoration in lving room pretty impressive. My wife loved direct sunlight coming to our bed room and children spends most of their free time on swing at terrace. Its a very good accomodation to start with in UK. While every thing is quite satisfactory,i would like to seek your attention on couple of issues which we found in last weeks.
My wife noticed that one foot of the master bedroom's bed is broken. Though we are still able to slip on it without any issue, worry is that someday bed may collapse and apparantely it can hurt us as well.
Another issue is with sofa in kichten cabinet. We found that wood of kitchen cabinet got quite rotten probably due to leakage in the water pipe going through it. We want to use this cabinet to keep raw food
and bit worried that food will get spoiled in damped atmosphere.
I request you to send carpenter and get the above issues fixed. If all can't be done together, our priority will be to get the bed fixed first. Looking forward to your response.
Regards, Shailabh.
