You are working for a company. You need to take some time off work and want to ask your manager about this.
Write a letter to your manager. In your letter:
explain why you want to take time off work
give details of the amount of time you need
suggest how your work could be covered while you are away.
Dear sir/Madam,
The purpose of my writing today is to tell you that I am planning to take a day off for 2 weeks.
AS you were aware that I am pursuing a part-time master degree course in a college and my exams begin on next month. Hence, I will be time-off for a fortnight to prepare well and to attend the exams.
Consequently, I will be away from work for a couple of weeks from 20th August to 1st September.
Moreover, I just completed my assigned tasks before deadlines. Only a few remaining projects are pending from my side which will continue once I am returning to office i.e. 1st week of September. However, incompleted works have more time to finish and the submission date for that work is at the end of next month.
Your support in this matter is greatly appreciated. Furthermore, an open line of communication, from your side, in this case, would greatly help out.
Thanks,
Aarthi
