I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the recent changes to sound pollution regulations in the local region of Mumbai. I am James Smith, a resident of Ventura society in north-western region of Mumbai. I hope you will consider the situation favourably.
Let me explain the situation in detail. As people are now allowed to play music on loudspeakers up to mid-night for house parties or wedding celebrations, it leads to unwanted noise till 1 am. Although sound limit is defined, it still disturbs the children, who are trying to sleep early to go school early next morning. Moreover, some people who are working from home are also not able to focus on their work or attend meetings with clients peacefully. This results in detrimentally affecting not only personal but professional life of residents.
Would you kindly change the regulation for 9pm cut-off to discourage this practice of noise pollution late night. It will help public to carry on their daily life in peace.
