Dear Sir/ Madam,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with regards to a jacket that I have bought recently from your Macy’s store in New York on 1st Nov 2019. I am a regular customer at your store and hold membership as well.
Let me explain the situation in detail. I purchased a leather jacket of Gap brand which is of camel brown colour and size XS (extra-small). However, I did not have much time to check the interior of jacket while buying as I was in a rush. Store Manager said there is discount on my card so I paid for it with my credit card and quickly left the store. After I reached home, I noticed that inner lining of the jacket was ripped at multiple places and zip lock is not working smoothly. this is because I decide to get it exchanged immediately next day.
Initially, I called your toll free number but line was always busy so I had to visit the store in-person to return damaged jacket. The customer Service Representative said that as I bought it on discount so it does not qualify for either replacement as size is out of stock or refund. Moreover, I asked for credit note as per your store’s 30-day return policy but she straight-away refused to do so.
I would request you to kindly tell your staff to exchange it or write a credit note to me if money cannot be refunded. If, for instance you are unable to provide credit note, then please allow me to exchange this detrimental piece with some other clothing item from your store.
I am looking forward to hearing from you for resolution.
Yours faithfully,
James Arthur
